Garden Surveys
Accurate, detailed plans for Garden Designers
In the same way that surveying a building for extensions and alterations requires specialist knowledge and techniques, the preparation of a garden plan for a garden designer is a similarly specialist undertaking.
We have developed a close relationship with several renowned garden designers who rely on us to produce comprehensive and clear mapping of existing gardens prior to preparation of their design drawings.
We also have very close ties with the Royal Horticultural Society, surveying and mapping for their major shows at Chelsea, Hampton Court and Tatton Park (see our sister website for micromap-events), and in this way keep up to date with what’s new in the world of garden design.

Case Study:
Garden for disabled client, Cheshire
The client had been the victim of a serious car accident, and was now confined to a wheelchair.
The entire garden was to be re-landscaped and re-designed to accommodate this new circumstance, and so a comprehensive level and detail survey was required before design work could start.

Case Study:
Town Garden, Berkshire.
A small but complicated garden to a terraced house near Windsor, the client wished to completely re-design the space, and so the designer commissioned MicroMap to prepare a detailed plan of the existing garden features, prior to preparation of new garden design plans.

Case Study:
Country House, Cotswolds
A large garden of an important Grade 1 listed Old Rectory in the Cotswolds, under new ownership.

The new owner was keen to open up areas of the old established garden to give more space for his young family, and so commissioned a garden designer to prepare several potential re-imagined designs for the garden.

MicroMap was asked to prepare a detailed plan of the gardens and the existing planting details in order to provide a canvas for the new designs.
